Bill BurnsBill started his career with the Chicago Police Department in March 1987. He is currently working patrol in the 018th district on the second watch. His prior unit assignments include the 014th, 015th, 018th (FTO), and Communications and Operations (Dispatcher).
Bill has earned three Masters Degrees with his most recent being a MLA from the University of Chicago. He is a PhD candidate at Loyola University in the Education program (ED.D). He is a certified teacher.
Bill's FOP experience includes election to Unit and Watch Rep positions for the past fourteen years. He was previously a member of the Newsletter and Discipline Committees. He was also a member of the past Contract Negotiation Team. Bill is currently assigned to the Constitution and By-laws and Picnic Committees. He has been a delegate at past State and National Conferences.
Bill's wife, Paula, has supported Bill in all of his endeavors.
