Sidney has been a Chicago Police Officer since February 14, 1983,  a graduate of Dunbar Vocational High School where he majored in Tailoring.

Sidney has 1 daughter and two grand kids, resides in the West Pullman area where he serves as the Block Club President for his block.

Serves as Chairmen of the Fishing Committee and Co-Chairmen of the Picnic Committee,  along with Frank DiMaria (2nd V.P.) Lodge 7

Sidney is President of his Family Tree with over 300 members in the Chicago land area. They meet once a month to conduct family business.  Also serves as a member of the Davis Family Trinal Council which meets bi annually to discuss Family matters (California, Louisiana and  Chicago).

Served as Illinois State Trustee 2000 /2002 ( prior to being elected as Recording Secretary for Lodge 7

Sidney published a monthly news letter (2 years) prior to being elected as Recording Secretary and continues to publish an annual informational Holiday/ Event calendar (since 1997).

As Recording Secretary for Lodge 7, Sidney is responsible for the 5,000 retiree’s, handling their many questions and complaints.

Sidney is responsible for the 250 police officers  who serve our country in the many branches of military units, by answering questions, providing guidance as needed.

Sidney also is knowledgeable in bidding questions, and serves as a liaison to the Personnel Division for members who are placed in the Behavior Intervention System and Personal Concerns Program.

Hobbies include but not limited, are Bowling, Fishing, Bid Whisk (cards), Golf and Billiards.    Loves to travel and an animal owner (Rotts)
