There has been much controversy over the tentative agreement reached between the Sergeant’s union and the City of Chicago. Many active and retired members have inquired as to how this agreement, if approved by the Sergeants, would impact them.
Rather than offer simply an opinion, the Lodge hired an actuary to research the potential impact of this agreement. The numbers speak for themselves and they do not bode well for anyone, including the Sergeants. We hope that they realize their actions, if this agreement is adopted, will impact thousands and not just the 1100 members of their bargaining unit.
