A Chicago Police Sergeant Who Was Wounded In A 2016 Shooting Will Be Honored At The Chicago Cubs Game Tomorrow.

Sergeant Stephen Boyd was shot in the leg in the course of a robbery on March 26, 2016 outside of his home. He returned fired and wounded one of two offenders. Both offenders were captured.

The Chicago Cubs are honoring Sergeant Boyd on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 as they take on the Cincinnati Reds at 7:05 pm at Wrigley Field. Tickets are still available at the box office.

Sergeant Boyd, a patrolman at the time of the incident, will also be receiving the Award of Valor and the Blue Star Award from Superintendent Johnson on May 19, 2017.
