The answer is: You receive time and one-half for the hours actually worked or a minimum of eight-hours pay, whichever is greater. You cannot receive time and one-half for both the cancelled day off and time and one-half for the 6th or 7th workday. Only one of the provisions applies.

Here are some examples.

  • Your day off is cancelled and you work a full eight-hour tour on the 6th or 7th day. You are credited with twelve-hours.
  • Your day off is cancelled and you are sent home after six-hours on the 6th or 7th day. You are credited with nine-hours.
  • Your day off is cancelled and you are sent home immediately after reporting on the 6th or 7th day. You are credited with eight-hours.
  • You had an RDO cancelled and Friday or Saturday is your 6th or 7th workday in a Sunday through Saturday calendar week. You are credited with time and one-half for hours worked.
