It is with deep regret that the Officers of Illinois Trooper’s Lodge #41 inform us of the Line of Duty death of our Brother and fellow Trustee, District 6 Trooper Ryan Albin. At approximately 3:10 pm on June 28, 2017, Trooper Albin was involved in a serious squad car crash. Trooper Albin was extricated from his vehicle and air-lifted to Carle Hospital in Urbana, Illinois, where he succumbed to his injuries at approximately 8:45 pm. Trooper Albin has been a Trustee in District 6 since 2016 and was a member of Cadet Class 111.

Trooper Albin’s canine partner Biko was with him at the time of the crash and was transported to a local veterinarian’s office where he was treated for minor injuries.

Please join us in keeping the Family and friends of Trooper Albin in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We will notify you of pending arrangements when available.
